xFarm Technologies, one of the portfolio companies of Grey Silo Ventures Corporate Ventures Capital from our Group and a European leader in the digitalization of the agri-food sector, recently announced a new funding round, raising a total of 36 million euros.

In 2024, xFarm Technologies solidified its position as a European leader through the integration of Greenfield Technologies, a Spanish company specializing in regenerative agriculture, and SpaceSense, a French company focused on Geospatial Artificial Intelligence. These developments have allowed xFarm to further expand its services, covering over 7 million hectares with its digital solutions and supporting more than 450,000 farms across over 100 agricultural product supply chains.

“In a time of great challenges and changes for the global agri-food sector, our goal is to continue providing the most advanced tools to tackle this environment by investing further in R&D and cutting-edge technologies, with a focus on regenerative agriculture and sustainability,” stated Matteo Vanotti, CEO of xFarm Technologies.

With the capital raised in this round, xFarm Technologies will be able to strengthen its presence in Europe and expand further into Turkey, Latin America, India, and the United States—strategic markets for its future growth. The goal is to enhance its performance and develop innovative solutions, leveraging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence for agronomic analysis and climate monitoring to support sustainable agricultural practices.

“Our involvement in xFarm Technologies,” explains Giacomo Fanin, Investment Manager at Grey Silo Ventures, “reflects the close connection between our investment activities and the evolutionary path of the Cereal Docks Group, committed to supporting the digitization of agricultural supply chains and promoting agronomic practices that preserve soil fertility and enhance crop profitability. Investing in innovation and next-generation digital technologies is the best way to achieve these goals.”
