Cereal Docks Organic will be among the protagonists of BIOFACH 2024, the main international event dedicated to organic food and agriculture, which will take place in Nuremberg from February 13th to 16th 2024.
Founded in 2017 as part of the Cereal Docks Group, the Organic brand oversees the Group's development in the organic sector of the first transformation of agricultural raw materials. The company will present at BIOFACH 2024 its organic ingredients used in various fields of agribusiness, from food to animal nutrition. All Bio ingredients adhere to high standards for ecosystem protection, soil fertility, non-renewable resources, and biodiversity conservation.
Among the products on display will be vegetable oils (crude, virgin, refined) obtained from cold-pressed organic soybean, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds from certified organic supply chains. Also there will be special organic oils and ingredients for animal husbandry, such as cereals, protein panels, and oils, all strictly sourced from organic farming.
The organic sector has been a solid reality in our country for years, with over 2.3 million hectares cultivated, an increase of 7.5% compared to 2021. The share of national agricultural land dedicated to organic crops now reaches 18.7%, well beyond the European average of 12%.
Consumer interest in organic products is also confirmed by data from the Sana Observatory, which in the first seven months of 2023 recorded an 18% increase for commercial and collective catering (reaching 1.3 billion euros) and a 7% increase for household consumption. In 2023, food sales of organic products in the domestic market exceeded 5.4 billion euros.
